I’m Lalie Lours. High schooler and writer based in NYC, perpetually in the middle of three books at once. This is where I write about the stories I can’t stop thinking about.
Why I Do This
I read to understand the world, and honestly, mostly to understand myself. Books hold a kind of truth that real life doesn’t always have room for. Writing about them is how I hold onto it.
What Drives Me
Pretty simply: I want reading to feel like something anyone can be part of. No required reading lists, no wrong opinions, just honest conversation about books and why they matter.
Stories have always been how I make sense of the world. Whether I’m underlining a line that stings or rereading a scene just to feel it again, I read to be moved. This site is my way of writing through that: the questions books leave behind, the characters that won’t quite leave me alone, the kind of reading that becomes obsessive.
